COLUMBUS – Lieutenant Governor and Department of Insurance Director Mary Taylor issued the following statement today on the announcement of a settlement between Nationwide Financial, the Ohio Department of Insurance and other state insurance regulators pertaining to unclaimed insurance policies.

"I'm pleased with this agreement and the Ohio Department of Insurance's continued commitment to Ohio consumers and our insurance market. I appreciate Nationwide's cooperation and strong partnership with state regulators in order to protect consumers. Thanks to the hard work of the Department and my counterparts in several other states, I am confident this agreement will help the company better serve its policyholders now and in the future."
