Lt. Governor Taylor Names Brock Insurance Department’s Director of Communications


 


COLUMBUS Ohio Lieutenant Governor and Department of Insurance Director Mary Taylor today announced Chris Brock the Department’s Director of Communications.  In his new role, Brock oversees communication strategy and planning while coordinating communication activities for the Department of Insurance.  He previously served the Department as Exchange Outreach Coordinator and was responsible for policy and outreach for health insurance exchange planning.

“Chris has demonstrated a strong policy and communications background that will serve him well in his new role at the Department,” Taylor said. “He has been an important part of the team and I look forward to working with him in this new capacity.”

Prior to coming to the Department, Chris served as the Manager of Grassroots Advocacy for the Ohio Chamber of Commerce.  There he led the Chamber’s grassroots efforts on issues important to Ohio employers and employees.  Prior to that, Chris was a Communications Assistant to the Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives. 

He has a BA degree in Political Science from The Ohio State University.

He and his wife, Hilary, live with their daughter in Lewis Center.
