COLUMBUS — Ohio Lieutenant Governor and Department of Insurance Director Mary Taylor revoked the resident insurance agent license of James K. Winkelman, of Amelia, Ohio, for violations of Ohio insurance law.
A Department review revealed that in 2010, Winkelman was issued a cease and desist order by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Division of Securities, and the Michigan Department of Energy, Labor and Economic Growth Office of Financial and Insurance Regulation for unlicensed or unregistered activities. Ohio insurance law allows the Director to revoke an agent’s Ohio insurance license for having been subject to a cease and desist order for unlicensed or unregistered activities.
Winkelman’s resident insurance agent license was revoked June 27, 2011.
