COLUMBUS — Ohio Lieutenant Governor and Department of Insurance Director Mary Taylor accepted the permanent surrender of the resident surety bail bond insurance agent license of Alycia D. Massey-Hunter, of Toledo, Ohio, for violations of Ohio insurance law.
A Department review revealed that Massey-Hunter falsified an insurance product and submitted it to the Wood County Court of Common Pleas to secure the release of a prisoner. Ohio insurance law permits the Director to revoke an insurance agent’s Ohio license for using fraudulent, coercive, or dishonest practices, or demonstrating incompetence, untrustworthiness, or financial irresponsibility, in the conduct of business in the state.
Massey-Hunter’s resident surety bail bond insurance agent license was permanently surrendered effective May 25, 2011.
