Due to the conversion to a new computer system at the Ohio Department of Insurance, electronic processing of agent license applications and renewal agent license applications is taking longer than expected.
Department employees are working diligently to process the large number of applications we have received. At this time, we are experiencing delays. This is a temporary problem that will be resolved soon.
If you are a new agent who has applied to the department for a license, please continue to be patient, the department has made processing new agent applications a priority. Your license will be processed as soon as possible.
If you are an agent who has applied to the department to renew your license, do not worry, your license will not be revoked due to delays in processing of your application as long as your renewal application is received by your renewal date.
Appointments, terminations and address changes are not experiencing any delay.
